It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and that means it’s time to start decorating for the holidays.
Today we will be sharing some simple and charming decorating ideas for your home. Hopefully, this will help spark ideas and add some creative inspiration to your home this Holiday.
Mini Pumpkins and squash – adding a few of these to your table will add an easy and simple pop of colour to warm up your festive table (and help with making you hungry for some Pumpkin soup!)
String lights – add some sparkle to any room by stringing along some lights. This inexpensive addition can add the prettiest Christmas décor to any room.
Green Garlands wrapped around the bannister – adding this greenery not only adds more colour to your home, but also gives a nice and cozy feeling.
Bowls of bulbs – with the left-over ornaments that didn’t fit (or go with) the Christmas tree; try adding them to a decorative bowl and placing them in the entryway.
Pinecone wreaths – this could be a fun way to get your whole family involved. Try gathering some pinecones from outside and creating a wreath to hang on your front door. The kids will especially love this one – try making it a fun game to see who can collect the most. Then display everyone’s hard work!
Santa advent calendar – countdown the days until Santa arrives!
Paper Snowflakes – this is an oldie but a goodie! The classic fold your paper a thousand times and make small incisions to create unique snowflakes can add not only personalized touches to your home but also the classic “winter wonderland” feeling (just like you are walking in a winter wonderland…).
Keep the decorations minimal but meaningful – remember this is for you and your family to enjoy. If it’s a chore your creative juices wont flow as well. Add whatever you like and be willing to explore different ways to make your home ready for the Holidays.
With Christmas just around the corner, throw in any twists that you think will add to your Holiday Décor. Ultimately there is no right or wrong way to do it! Remember, tis the season and creating a special moment with your family can make the Holiday Season that might brighter.
